Product Description

Tea tree essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, and has long been valued for its clean, clarifying aroma and steady place in everyday skin care.

Use it to freshen a room, tend to blemish-prone skin, and bring a crisp, medicinal brightness to simple daily rituals.

Tea tree is Australia’s great utility oil. It yields a thin, pale oil with a fresh medicinal scent—green, slightly spicy, and clean rather than floral. It does not try to perfume a room. It tries to make skin and air feel tended.

For decades, tea tree has lived near the cotton swabs and the bathroom shelf.

  • Diluted, it is a classic oil for blemish spots, the hairline, and tired feet.

  • Diffused sparingly, it gives a space that just-cleaned freshness without sweetness.

The aroma is honest and herbal, which is why people trust it for practical care more than for atmosphere alone. It sits between a top note and a middle note. The first impression is sharp and camphor-green; underneath is a soft woody warmth.

  • A drop in a teaspoon of carrier oil for a single spot,

  • a light dilution for the feet,

  • or two or three drops in the diffuser is often all that is needed.

Tea tree is a working oil. Used with a light hand, it earns its place in almost every home cabinet.

How to Use

Always dilute before applying to skin. Patch-test a new bottle. Neat tea tree often stings and can sensitize skin over time.

Diffuse
Add 2–4 drops to your diffuser. Run 15–20 minutes in a well-ventilated room. Best when you want the air to feel cleaned, not perfumed.

Inhale
Place 1 drop on a tissue and breathe from a short distance. Do not put it under a child’s nose.

Spot care
Dilute to about 1–5% for a small area:

  • 1 drop tea tree in 1 teaspoon carrier oil for sensitive skin
  • Or 6–15 drops per 1 oz (30 ml) carrier oil

Dab on a cotton swab and apply only to the spot. Wash hands after.

Body / feet
Dilute to about 1–2%:

  • 6–12 drops per 1 oz carrier oil

Massage into feet or use after showering on areas that need a clean finish. Avoid broken skin if it burns.

Scalp ritual
Add 2–4 drops to 1 tablespoon carrier oil. Massage through the scalp, leave 10–20 minutes, then shampoo.

Cleansing wipe
Add 1 drop to a damp cotton pad already moistened with water or witch hazel, or blend a few drops into 1 oz unscented wash. Do not pour neat oil into an open wound.
